Why wellness isn’t a priority in my life

Why wellness isn’t a priority in my life

This Covid-Era has exposed us to the hidden side of us. Situations for each of us may have been different, some have spent time with family, some alone, some with friends etc. but what cannot be denied is that we have continuously engaged ourselves at either work or meaningless activity or Internet or workout or maybe excessive sleep or reading.

Do you know notice what is common to all above?

We are unable to give rest to our mind & we have become sensitive. We do understand that as well. This year in spite of being challenging is coming to an end; but within ourselves we realize that we haven’t come to ease, we are unable to relax fully.

We are unable to take time out to make our wellness a priority.

Do we ever wonder that to write a word, we spent 2-3 years in primary-school, to write a sentence by ourselves we spent about 10-12years studying under a guidance of a teacher, further more learning to brush our teeth has been a challenge when we were 5yrs but now when we are 25yrs or 55yrs, none can make us believe that without brushing our teeth we will be healthy.

We did put in dedicated amount of time to get to that stage – whether it was fun or not that is a subjective discussion.

Similarly, for us to bring wellness as a part of every day happening we need guidance, we need a small practice that we can use every day for few weeks/months before we begin to see its benefits.  We need to create time to make our wellness a priority and take few minutes out every day otherwise wellness wouldn’t happen magically.

If that would happen magically, then lets not study and brush & expect education and no trips to dentist.

For creativity to flow & to arrive at a state of flow, our mind should come to a state where we become aware of a blank canvas & direct the energy into action of our choice. This we could refer as wellness in some way for the sake of putting it in writing.

When we invest time in ourselves we are indirectly impacting the quality of what we do else more of history will repeat.

(I can read many articles on how a habit is formed, go to its science etc. but unless I make wellness a priority in my-life, the magic will not happen in my life)

Let’s see how to make wellness a priority in 2021

And what better place could be to meditate at work where we spend 1/3rd of our lives & during Covid-Era it may just be taking over ½ a day.

Let’s bring wellness into our Corporate schedule.
