about
Samir first discovered meditation 25 years ago, and his journey led him to embark on numerous 10-day silent retreats across the United States. In 2014, after working in New York for 16years, he made a life-altering decision to leave everything behind and immerse himself in a six-month stay at an Ashram in India , specifically at the Isha Foundation. During this transformative period, Samir dedicated himself to an intensive teacher training program that spanned 2000 hours.
This comprehensive training program was meticulously crafted under the guidance of Sadhguru, focusing on practices that promote health, wellness, and overall well-being. Samir’s primary role was to become a Classical Hatha Yoga teacher, preserving the authenticity of traditional teachings and honoring the sanctity of the process.
The heart of this training revolved around precise alignment and harnessing the power of visualization to cultivate mastery over both mind and body. The fruits of this dedication were profound inner transformation, psychological balance and tangible physical benefits, marking a pivotal shift in his way of life. Since completing his training, Samir has taken on the role of a Hatha Yoga teacher, offering his learnings and expertise not only in New York and New Jersey but also leading retreats in locations like Costa Rica and Belize.
When Samir isn’t teaching yoga, he’s a multifaceted individual with a diverse range of interests and entrepreneurial pursuits. He’s the founder of Elephant Bytes, a company dedicated to aiding organizations in transforming their product delivery processes and shifting mindsets to meet ever-changing customer needs. In addition, Samir established MAD Playhouse Theater & SAIPAF.org, where his mission is to bring profound Eastern stories to NYC’s theaters while also venturing into short film production, informercials, photography. Samir’s passion for learning extends to aviation, where he explores the world of flying, and he’s an active drummer in his upcoming band, allowing him to channel his creative energy through music.
His life outside of yoga is a vibrant mix of entrepreneurship, storytelling, aviation, and musical expression, reflecting his dedication to continuous growth and creativity.
